Magician, television presenter, and actor, Penn Jillette, who is popular for his stage work with partner and fellow magician Raymond Teller, was apparently able to lose 100 pounds by following the “potato diet.” Now we can count excess poundage as among the many things he’s made disappear onstage. He said he ate plain potatoes for 2 whole weeks, and added various vegetable stews in the days after, all of which contributed greatly to his weight loss. According to Jillette, he was able to lose 75 pounds in just three months, without even exercising.

Nutritionists warn, however, that Jillette’s diet isn’t for everyone, and that it can, to some degree, pose health risks on others. He told Good Morning America in 2016: “I can choose beans or almost anything.” This arbitrary but restrictive method is called “Single diet”. After living on only potato pieces for 14 days, he began to gradually add vegetable stews and salads to increase variety.

PAULINE QUIRKE – FITNESS AND DIET


English actress Pauline Quirke, who will be best known for playing the role of Sharon Theodopolopodous in the highly successful comedy series Birds of a Feather, was reportedly able to lose close to 42 pounds by cutting on sugar and alcohol. Reports say that the celebrity decided to alter her lifestyle after experiencing a slew of medical conditions, including osteoarthritis. Apparently, his weight peaked at 208 pounds, which made him decide that enough was enough. In fact, it was Dr. Oz who was said to have called out Kimmel’s poor relationship with food. Kimmel also claims to have discovered intermittent fasting during his dieting phase and swears that it has helped him keep the pounds off. He discovered the 5:2 diet, reportedly loved by celebrities like Beyoncé and Benedict Cumberbatch. He eats anything he likes five days a week, and then eats less than 500 calories in the other two days. On Monday and Tuesday (the days when Kimmel restricts his diet), he drinks coffee, eats kimchi, egg whites, apples, peanut butter and oatmeal.

I wish I had an understanding of nutrition and exercise, and how it affects people. ”

American actor and comedian John Goodman, who’s more popularly known as Dan Conner after having played the role for years on ABC’s highly successful sitcom Roseanne, reportedly lost a huge—and we mean huge!—amount of weight by drastically altering his lifestyle. Indeed, the man has lost more than 100 pounds, and if the pictures online are any indication, it looks like he lost even more than that.

How did he do it? According to Goodman, by quitting alcohol “cold turkey,” and by eating more healthily. He also apparently hired a personal trainer to help him, he has always adhered to a diet that includes lean meats, fruits, vegetables and protein shakes. He also works 6 days a week. To his credit, it seems to have changed his life. He never thinks that weight loss is a lifestyle change, but only refers to the fluctuation of numbers.

SETH ROGEN – FITNESS AND DIET


Actor, comedian, producer, and director Seth Rogen, who rose to prominence following his involvement in Judd Apatow’s coming-of-age series Freaks And Geeks, was reportedly able to lose 30 pounds in 10 weeks. Indeed, he no longer looks like the chubby personality people always knew him to be, at least if the latest pictures of him online are any indication. He seems to have been able to keep the weight off even while filming and promoting The Interview with James Franco.

How was he able to do it? Apparently through strength training, a strict diet, and a personal trainer to monitor his progress. Continuous strength training helps to shrink the skin and prevent it from sagging when you start to lose that accumulated fat. Strength training should be performed twice or three times a week, each for 1-2 hours. This investment Rogen has made in his health is no doubt inspiring.

American actor Jerry Ferrara, who is more popularly known as “turtle” from the hit HBO comedy series Entourage, looks like he’s in perfect physical condition. He always was the “chubby guy” from Entourage, but not anymore. How did he lose all the excess weight? Well, according to Ferrara, he “dedicated” himself to working out. And, it seems pretty obvious that he did, given how ripped his body now is.

Apparently, his weight peaked at 200 pounds, which he said was bad for someone who is 5’7″. In any case, he credits working out for the transformation, and we say good for him for being able to achieve this much! “The hardest part was probably cutting out the pasta, which I’ve had maybe twice in the past six months. The sweet stuff was easy for me to knock off—I don’t have a giant sweet tooth. I gave up so many things. ”

KIM KARDASHIAN – DIET AND EXERCISE


Socialite, media personality, and reality superstar, Kim Kardashian, was reportedly able to lose weight after giving birth through exercise and dieting alone. Everyone saw how she did it, actually—it was all over her show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, as well as her many social media accounts. Kim shared that she gained a whopping 60 pounds after her pregnancy, but was, to her credit, able to shed it all out through sheer mind over matter. And in case you were wondering, the Atkins diet helped her a lot, too—she immediately started the diet after giving birth.

Kardashian often exercises her time in the gym and often shares snapshots on social media. She has also changed her eating habits, including reducing the amount of sugar consumed. When it comes to nutrition, Alcantara works with Kardashian West’s team of chefs, sending recipes and meal plans to ensure that the star is eating a balanced amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. This diet coupled with exercise is what resulted in her amazing transformation.

ZACH GALIFIANAKIS – WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM


Actor, comedian, and writer, who rose to stardom after appearing in the highly successful series of comedy films, The Hangover Trilogy, was apparently able to lose a ton of weight. Actor, writer, producer, and comedian, Alec Baldwin, whose comedic talents some people only recently discovered after he started doing impersonations on Saturday Night Live, surprised everyone during an interview with Jimmy Fallon when he dropped his pants down to show how much weight he’s lost. And, clearly, Baldwin did lose a lot of weight. Alec first began altering his diet in 2012 when he was told he had pre-diabetes. In Hilaria’s book The Living Clearly Method, penned three years later, he admitted, “This was an alarming wake-up call that rocked him to the core.”

And the yoga instructor subsequently made it her mission to help him stave off the devastating condition. And while Baldwin didn’t go into detail about what he did to lose so much weight, he has been talking to his fans on social media about the plant-based diet he’s adopted, and this is what many credits for his impressive transformation.

50 CENT – WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM


Rapper, actor, producer, and entrepreneur Curtis James Jackson III, otherwise known as 50 Cent, reportedly lost a huge amount of weight in 2010 just to play the role of a cancer-stricken football player. Indeed, he shared on social media that he lost close to 50 pounds, and described what he went through as “tough.” How was 50 Cent able to lose that much weight? Apparently, he went on a liquid diet and ran on the treadmill for 3 hours per day.

“I had to discipline myself not … to actually have myself be in the physical state to convey the energy I felt. It’s a passion project for me,” said 50 Cent. To his credit, 50 Cent was able to gain all the weight and muscle back after shooting for the film ended. He released his fourth album, the gold-selling “Before I Self Destruct,” in November. He kicks off his North American tour Saturday in Detroit.

RUBEN STUDDARD – WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM


R& B, pop, gospel singer, and actor, Ruben Studdard, who gained worldwide recognition after winning the second season of the singing competition series, American Idol, reportedly dropped 112 pounds as a contestant of the reality series The Biggest Loser. Studdard entered the competition weighing a whopping 462 pounds but was happily able to cut the weight down significantly.

Studdard also shared for one interview that the only solution to being overweight is diet, exercise, and discipline, which is why he is, to his credit, continuing to live healthily long after the weight-loss reality program had ended. “It was really time for me to make a change,” he said. “I was about to turn 35, and I was just afraid that some of the things that affected some people that are really close to me would affect me. I most definitely don’t want to leave here early from things that I can prevent.”

RONNIE ORTIZ – FITNESS AND DIET


Television personality and occasional actor Ronnie Ortiz, who will be more popularly known as one of the members of MTV’s reality series Jersey Shore, took to Instagram to show off his ripped body after losing a ton of weight by following the Keto diet. Ortiz-Magro was born in the Bronx, New York City. He is of Italian and Puerto Rican descent.

Also, it’s not just the Keto diet that’s made Ortiz look as sculpted as he is, because he apparently had a Trusculpt 3D procedure that supposedly melted his love handles and extra fat. In January 2019, he entered a month-long rehabilitation program for alcohol and depression. We’re not sure how much weight Ortiz has lost overall, but it’s safe to say that it is, to his credit, quite a lot—at least if the before and after pictures are any indication.

JESSICA SIMPSON – WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM


Singer, actress and successful entrepreneur, Jessica Simpson, whose fashion and clothing line went on to make $1 billion worldwide, revealed that she lost 100 pounds through the help of nutritionist and trainer Harley Pasternak. According to Pasternak, it was all about altering Simpson’s lifestyle and relationship to food. Each meal includes protein, fiber, and fat while snacks are a combo of protein and fiber or protein and fat.

Indeed, at the peak of Simpson’s weight, she was tipping the scales at almost 240 pounds. Simpson was, to her credit, able to shed much of it off by walking 14,000 steps a day and eating more healthily. Another thing that Simpson said helped her a lot was getting at least 7 hours of sleep a day. Good, quality sleep was key to Jessica’s success. Jessica’s weight loss was about much more than working out and eating right.

RACHEL FREDERICKSON – FITNESS AND DIET


Rachel Frederickson, who many might know as the winner of the reality 15th season of the reality television show The Biggest Loser, lost so much weight that some even think she might have lost a little too much for her own good. Indeed, she was 260 pounds when the season started and was 105 at the end, which means Frederickson lost an astonishing 155 pounds.

Doctors said that at 5 feet 4 inches tall, Frederickson’s weight of 105 pounds bordered, to some degree, on the less than healthy range. In fact what we’re surprised about is that she only lost that much, considering she looks so unrecognizable after the transformation. June Shannon’s weight loss transformation didn’t happen in secret. Apparently, she’s had gastric sleeve bypass surgery and is now following a strict diet to keep the weight off. Incredibly, she’s gone from a size 18 to a size 4 and even got breast augmentation surgery to look even curvier than she already was.

KIRSTEN VANGSNESS- HEALTHY LIFESTYLE


American actress and writer Kirsten Vangsness, who many will know as the actress who portrayed Penelope Garcia in the highly successful crime drama series Criminal Minds, was reportedly able to lose a ton of weight by following Renee Stephens’ weight loss program. 48 years old Kirsten Simone Vangsness was born on 7 July 1972, in Pasadena, California USA, of part-Norwegian descent.

However, despite the fame, her weight loss struggles have made a highlight in recent years. Renee Stephens, to those who don’t know, is a famous weight loss guru who’s been able to work with more than a few celebrities already. His diet program includes non-conventional techniques like hypnotherapy to get adherents to lose weight. We’re not sure how much weight Vangsness was able to lose, but to her credit, it must be a lot if her latest pictures are any indication.

Probably my goal now is to be like 200.” In any case, there’s still quite a long way to go for Honey Boo Boo, but we’re glad she’s now headed in the right direction.

It’s not totally unsurprising, of course, since many contestants of the show can lose weight due to the grueling tasks they are made to complete.

In any case, the difference in Hegerty’s waistline was noticeable after the show, and it apparently inspired her to continue losing more weight. “From veg to meat protein and fish and that is absorbed quickly by the body. The weight loss doesn’t do any permanent damage, and most pile it back on within three weeks.” We’re not sure how much additional weight she’s lost, but suffice to say that Hegerty is, to her credit, looking much slimmer these days than she’s ever been.

Stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer, who gained wider recognition after appearing in the 5th season of NBC’s highly successful stand-up comedy series Last Comic Standing, shared that she’s in no rush to lose weight, but has, to her credit, managed to shed 10 pounds anyhow by working out. This, mind you, was only 5 months after giving birth to her son. She was suffering from a disease called pregnancy vomiting or severe nausea and vomiting.

We’re not sure if the comedian has continued to lose weight, but the photos she posts to her Instagram page shows her to be slimming down quite a few pounds, so we’re sure she’s doing something right. As for her most recent Instagram share, it’s clear that fans are loving her honesty about her postnatal body and “no rush” sentiments. Even more, thanked Amy for showing that post-pregnancy weight loss isn’t immediate—and that that’s totally ok.

CANDACE CAMERON – STRICTLY DIET


Actress, author, and producer Candace Cameron Bure, who will be more popularly known as D.J. Tanner from the hit television sitcom Full House, is looking like she’s in the best shape of her life. Singer, songwriter, and media personality, Robbie Williams, who rose to fame as a member of the all-boy singing group Take That, was reportedly able to slim down drastically after living on broth and mango for a while and doing boxing. And the changes are nothing short of astounding. “I found that normally my history is being overweight and being dreadfully unhappy and then counteracting that with extreme measures and being depressed because there are no nutrients in my body. There are this relentless weight battle and weight issue that I’ve had forever.” He said.
